1. Before installing and using the grinding wheel, a visual inspection must be carried out to check for cracks or damage, and a wooden hammer should be used to strike the grinding wheel, making a clear and crisp sound. Before use, the rotation test should be carried out according to the provisions of GB/T2493 standard, otherwise, it is strictly prohibited to use.
Before installation, the spindle speed on the machine tool must be checked and must not exceed the working speed indicated on the grinding wheel.
3. Only special nut wrenches are allowed to tighten the grinding wheel, and they must be tightened symmetrically and gradually in sequence on both sides opposite the spindle. The nut should be appropriately tightened.
4. It is prohibited to use supplementary fixtures or tapping tools. Turn off the coolant to avoid imbalance of the grinding wheel.
5. The fit between the grinding wheel aperture and the grinding wheel spindle and chuck should comply with the provisions of GB4674 standard.
6. Newly installed grinding wheels must be idled at the working speed for at least 2 minutes for grinding wheels with an outer diameter of<400mm and at least 5 minutes for grinding wheels with an outer diameter of ≥ 400mm, with a protective cover. When idling, the operator should not stand in front of the grinding wheel or in the tangential direction.
7. Grinding wheels that are not specifically used for end grinding (such as parallel grinding wheels) shall not be used for grinding with the end face of the grinding wheel. Grinding wheels that are not specifically used for cylindrical grinding (such as bowl shaped or cup shaped grinding wheels) shall also not be used for grinding with the outer circle of the grinding wheel to avoid grinding wheel breakage.
8. When grinding a workpiece with a grinding wheel, it is prohibited to use a lever to push the workpiece to increase the pressure on the grinding wheel.
9. For thin disc grinding wheels and cymbal shaped grinding wheels, if excessive force is applied during cutting, it is easy to cause the grinding wheel to stop rotating, get stuck, and collide with the grinding wheel, causing damage to the grinding wheel. When cutting workpieces, it is not allowed to stack multiple workpieces for cutting to prevent accidents.
