1、 Grinding wheel material:
1. Material types: A, WA, SA, PA, GC, C, 38A, DA, 19A
2. Material selection:
A - Brown corundum abrasive, with a brown color, high hardness, and high toughness. Suitable for grinding metals with high tensile strength, such as carbon steel, alloy steel, malleable cast iron, hard bronze, etc.
WA - White corundum abrasive, with a white color and higher hardness than brown corundum. The abrasive particles are easily broken, with sharp edges and corners, good cutting performance, and low grinding heat. Suitable for grinding hardened steel, alloy steel, high-speed steel, high carbon steel, thin-walled parts, etc.
SA - Single crystal corundum abrasive, with a light yellow color. Compared with A and WA abrasives, it has high hardness and toughness, and is a single particle spherical crystal with strong resistance to fragmentation. Suitable for materials with high toughness and hardness, as well as workpieces that are prone to deformation and burn, such as non penetrating steel and high vanadium high-speed steel.
PA - Chromium corundum abrasive, with a rose or purple red color, sharp cutting edges, good corner retention, and high durability. Suitable for grinding workpieces with low surface roughness requirements such as cutting tools, measuring tools, instruments, and threads.
GC - Green silicon carbide abrasive, with a green color, high hardness, brittleness, sharpness, and certain thermal conductivity. Suitable for grinding cast iron, brass, lead, zinc, rubber, leather, plastic, wood, ore, etc.
C - Black silicon carbide abrasive, with a grayish black color, high hardness, high brittleness, sharp abrasive particles, and good thermal conductivity. It is suitable for grinding hard and brittle materials such as cemented carbide, optical glass and ceramics.
2、 Grinding wheel particle size:
← Coarse... 20 #, 24 #, 30 #,... 180 #, 220 #, 240 #,... Fine →
The larger the number, the more suitable for precision grinding (or grinding), while the smaller the number, the more suitable for rough grinding; The larger the number, the finer the sand particles. 80 are coarse, 100 are fine, and 120 are finer;
3、 Grinding wheel hardness:
← Soft E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T Hard →
The hardness of grinding wheels is divided into 14 levels, and the hardness classification and code of grinding wheels are as follows:
Code: A B C D E F Hardness grade: Ultra soft (large and small)
Code: G Hardness grade: Soft 1
Code: H Hardness grade: Soft 2
Code: J Hardness grade: Soft 3
Code: K Hardness grade: Medium soft 1
Code: L Hardness grade: Medium soft 2
Code: M Hardness grade: Medium 1
Code: N Hardness grade: Medium 2
Code: P Hardness grade: medium hard 1
Code: Q Hardness grade: medium hard 2
Code: R Hardness grade: medium hard 3
Code: S Hardness grade: Hard 1
Code: T Hardness grade: Hard 2
Code: Y Hardness grade: superhard
4、 Grinding wheel marking:
The grinding wheel is marked as:
WA46L5V351A350 × forty × one hundred and twenty-seven
The meanings of each letter code and data are as follows:
WA → Abrasive material used for grinding wheel
46 → Particle size of grinding wheel
L → Grinding wheel hardness
5 → Grinding wheel organization number
V → Grinding wheel is made of ceramic method sand wheel
35 → The grinding wheel uses a linear speed of 35M
